Is selling Donut SMP money safe?
Honest answer: it depends on who you sell to, and on how much you put at risk at once. Here is what actually goes wrong, and what you can do about each part of it.

Somebody has to go first
In-game money and crypto cannot change hands at the same instant. One side moves first, and with us that side is you. Anyone who tells you otherwise is either lying or about to take your money.
So the question is not “can I avoid going first” but “how little can I have at risk at any one moment”. Two answers:
- Start small. Sell a small amount first, watch it land in your wallet, then come back for the rest. It costs the same per million.
- Split a big trade. Tell the agent and we will take it in parts, paying each part before you send the next. If anything feels wrong after part one, you stop, and you have lost nothing but time.
Impersonation is the common scam
The usual trick is not a fake website. It is someone who watches for people selling and then messages them pretending to be the buyer, often with a near-identical name.
- Only pay the account named in your own order chat, on your own order page. Not a name from a DM, not a name from a friend, not a name from a screenshot.
- We never message you first asking for money, on Discord, by email or in-game.
- Check the spelling of the account before you press enter. `/pay` does not ask twice, and the server will not reverse it.
- Nobody needs your account. Never hand over a login, and never accept an offer that involves someone “logging in for you”.
Crypto payments cannot be undone
A payout goes where the address says. If the address is wrong, the money is gone, and no one can call it back, us included.
We check that your address is valid for the coin you chose, and we block addresses that look like they belong to a different chain, which is the mistake that actually happens. What no check can tell is whether the address is yours. Paste it, do not type it, and read it once more before you confirm.
Your Minecraft account
Selling in-game money for real money may break Donut SMP's rules. The server's staff can act against accounts involved, and we cannot protect you from that or reverse it. It is the one risk in this list that we have no influence over, which is why we say it plainly instead of burying it.
How to judge any buyer, including us
- Is the price public? A buyer who will only discuss the rate in a private chat is keeping room to move it once you have handed over the money.
- Is the rate locked in writing? Ours is written onto the order and shown with a countdown. “We will sort it out after” is not a price.
- Do you get a transaction ID? Every real payout has one, and you can check it on the blockchain without trusting anyone.
- Will they split the trade? A buyer who refuses to take it in parts is telling you something.
- Are the reviews checkable? Screenshots are free to fake. A profile with history is not.
What we do on our side
- The rate and the coin price are frozen on your order the moment you place it.
- Your order page needs no account: it is a private link, and it is the only place we ask you to pay from.
- Every payout is sent by a person, with the transaction ID published to you.
- An order can be split into parts at any point, at no cost.
- Once we have your money, the payout is final. We cannot cancel it and neither can a price swing.
